A Sanctuary on the Edge of the Forest
Jivan Parivartan — “life transformation” — began in 2010, when Maa Nisha Kabir opened the doors of a small healing room in Tarkeshwor, on the northwestern edge of the Kathmandu valley. What began as a place for individual healing sessions grew, year by year, into a full wellness center: a Yoga Alliance registered school, a retreat home, and a training ground for healers and teachers from more than eleven countries.
Fifteen years and more than twenty thousand sessions later, the heart of the work is unchanged. People arrive carrying stress, grief, exhaustion, or simply a question — and are met with practice, silence, good food, and honest guidance.
- Yoga Alliance registered school (RYS 200 & 500)
- 20,400+ healing sessions delivered since 2010
- 500+ retreats conducted
- Students and guests from 11+ countries
Quiet Enough to Hear Yourself
Our center sits at Tarkeshwor-5, on the slopes below Nagarjun forest — thirty minutes and a world away from Thamel. Mornings begin with birdsong and forest air; evenings end with satsang under a quiet sky.
The center holds a practice hall, a dedicated healing room, a sattvic kitchen serving three vegetarian meals daily, and simple, comfortable rooms for residential students — shared, private, and deluxe.
It is an ashram, not a resort: clean, warm, disciplined, and deliberately free of distraction. Students tell us the schedule feels demanding for two days — and then like the most natural thing in the world.

What We Stand For

Words From Our Students
Authentic testimonials from students across 11 countries who have practiced with us.
After an amazing trekking experience through Annapurna, my daughter and I visited for a healing day. It was a deeply meaningful experience for both of us. The home and surroundings are beautiful. They are friendly and knowledgeable and truly made our last day in Nepal memorable.
I stayed for one month 500hrs yoga teacher training. Very nice and peaceful place, welcoming and accommodating family, professional teachers, really good food. Best experience that everyone can have in life. Learning and sharing nice lessons for having a peaceful life. Good opportunity to find lovely friends with beautiful souls from around the world.
I completed the 500h YTTC in February 2017, and it was one of the best decisions I have made. I was given so much information, learned so much about myself, and had such a great balance between theory and practice. If you are looking for a yoga retreat or teacher training that is honest, inspiring, and full of warm smiles, this is the place for you.
